September 15, 2022: On September 13, the California Department of Public Health issued updated guidance for unvaccinated K-12 school employees, which includes volunteers. Beginning Saturday, September 17, 2022, volunteers are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to volunteer at school sites. July 12, 2022: Last month, the California Department of Public Health released new COVID-19 guidance for the 2022-23 school year that went into effect on July 1. The guidance includes updated considerations and mitigation strategies that are broken down into required and recommended actions.
