The Irvine Unified School District is committed to safely serving our students, while helping to ensure the health and wellbeing of those on our campuses.  Below is a resource guide for the 2022-23 school year, which is aligned to the California Department of Public Health’s guidelines for schools.  
 

Latest News

September 15, 2022:  On September 13, the California Department of Public Health issued updated guidance for unvaccinated K-12 school employees, which includes volunteers. Beginning Saturday, September 17, 2022, volunteers are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to volunteer at school sites.  For more information, please visit our School Health and Safety page below or click here and scroll to the "Volunteers" section.   

July 12, 2022: Last month, the California Department of Public Health released new COVID-19 guidance for the 2022-23 school year that went into effect on July 1.  The guidance includes updated considerations and mitigation strategies that are broken down into required and recommended actions.  More information can be found by visiting the Orange County Department of Education’s Newsroom, which provides a summary of the latest CDPH guidance.  Information about IUSD protocols and practices that are aligned with the CDPH guidance are detailed on this webpage.
